FUNtastic Surigao del Sur!
Getting your daily creamy black coffee at the same place right in front of your screen in your six-day two-to-eleven every day nearly not inspiring interest enough? Getting tired of being stuck in a rut? Take a break.
I go places to try and see new things around me. Some just don't know what to do with their life, either career-wise or life-wise, probably meditating if they can have both. Living an unhealthy lifestyle, a demanding job, a terrible breakup, your crush doesn't like you, the loss of a loved one or just bored. Akin to the heroine in Eat, Pray, Love, travel can be an immense relief from distress and unhappiness that come along with those. Well, here's a dose of breathing space to enjoy what life has to offer. Crank your energy up, get moving and off the beaten track!

Tinuy-an Falls ( Bislig, Surigao del Sur )
Tinuy-an Falls is one of the most famous attractions of the province. The view of naturally artistic waterfalls is just really breathtaking! The cold refreshing mist and sound from the waterfalls is astoundingly relaxing. They said that the rainbow comes out in the morning, however, we arrived there at noon because of the long commute from Davao, so we weren't able to see the rainbow. It is more engaging when you get closer riding a bamboo raft right under the waterfalls. The waters are chilling despite the hot and sunny weather, even colder than his love for you!☺ And wait there's more! There are also tremendous cascades on the top of the main falls which you should not miss. There are steel stairs made to get through the upper tier of the falls easier. The cascades are incredibly beautiful! The long and tanning habal-habal ride through rough inclined roads was worth it.

Enchanted River ( Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur )
Enchanted River is an hour or more away from Tinuy-an falls by another habal-habal ride. And yes, this is a butt numbing adventure.
Nevertheless, this deep blue lagoon is truly enchanting and mysterious. It has crystal-clear waters, such that you can see the riverbed even at the deepest part. None knows where the water comes from and flows, it's mixed fresh water and sea water. The depth of the water is also unknown, no one has ever reached the end point. The locals told a story about the doctor and environmentalist, who took a dive into the ambiguous depth of the water cave, who unluckily failed to come out. A few hours later, his body was found around the area of the cave. According to the experts, the water in the cave pulls you back and that you'd be lucky if the current is not that strong. Some people believe that there are supernatural creatures in the deep cryptic waters. Despite that, many tourists and even kids still enjoy plunging into the marvelous water. Moreover, there are lots of fish twisting and whirling around which is indeed spellbinding.
